Donna Mae Graves, 81, Jamestown, ND, died Monday, November 28, 2011 at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown.
Donna Mae Peters was born August 25, 1930 in Jamestown, the daughter of Robert and Grace (Roseneau) Peters. She grew up and attended school in Jamestown. She was a 4-H member for 10 years, where she was a member of the winning 4-H Judging team at the 1948 4-H International.
On September 22, 1949 Donna Mae married Oliver Graves in Jamestown. They moved to Ypsilanti in 1950, where they farmed. She worked for Leever's Super Valu in Jamestown for 10 years.
Donna Mae was an active member of Ypsilanti Lutheran Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher for many years. She was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, the Homemakers Club and the Craft Club. Donna's hobbies included arts, crafts, crocheting, embroidery, and working with animals, especially horses. She loved her family and watching her children's and grandchildren's activities.
Donna Mae is survived by her four children, Patricia Nicholls, Coon Rapids, MN; Rex (Debra) Graves, Jamestown; Jay (Judy) Graves, Blackhawk, SD; Tim Graves, Melrose, MN; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one great-grandchild; one brother; one sister; and son-in-law, Jay Nicholls.
