Carol Jean Stahlhut, a woman of faith, family, and friends, passed away on January 10, 2024, at Sanford on Broadway in Fargo, ND after a long and courageous battle with cancer, our Lord felt it was her time to come home. She was born on October 7, 1959, in Jamestown, ND, to Edgar Hornung and Harriet Halverson. Carol grew up in Pettibone, ND, and later graduated from Jamestown High School.
Carol married Rollie Stahlhut on July 17th, 1993, and together they made their home in Jamestown. She dedicated many years of her life to the banking industry, serving as a banker, administrative assistant for Dunwoody Construction, and later as a business manager for Rosedale, Gackle, and Rock of Ages assisted living centers. She retired in 2022. Carol's faith was an integral part of her life, and she was an active member of the Atonement Lutheran Church. She also found solace and support in the Jamestown Cancer Support Group where she formed lasting friendships, volunteered her time on the board as Treasurer, and helped organize fundraising efforts.
In her free time, Carol enjoyed pursuing her hobbies and interests. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and loved cheering for her favorite team. She found joy in quilting, reading, camping, and cooking delicious meals for her family and friends. Carol had a profound impact on the lives of those who knew her. Her kind and caring nature touched the hearts of many. She was always there to lend a helping hand, offer words of encouragement, and provide unwavering support. Carol's love and devotion to her family were immeasurable, and she will be remembered for her selflessness and generosity.
