Amelia M. Neva, 73, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center in Jamestown.
Amelia M. Martwick was born September 1, 1935 in Kulm, North Dakota, the daughter of Maynard and Rosalina (Hartman) Martwick. She grew up on a farm near Edgeley, ND and graduated from Edgeley High School. On August 6, 1955 Amelia married Loran C. Neva in LaMoure, ND. They moved to Jamestown where they raised they family. Amelia was a lab technician for the North Dakota State Hospital.
Amelia enjoyed going on mystery tours with her friends, she loved the color blue, family socials and German food. She especially enjoyed and was most proud of her grandchildren.
Amelia is survived by a son, Michael (Diane) Neva, Minot, ND; daughter, Lorrie (David) Olson, Las Vegas, NV; two grandchildren, Ryan (Amber) Neva and RaeAnn Neva, both of Minot; one great-grandson, Cole Neva, Minot; one sister, Esther (Roy) Gahner, Bismarck, ND; two brothers, Daniel (Barbara) Martwick, Glen Ullin, ND and David (Alvina) Martwick, McClusky, ND; and numerous special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Friday, March 20, 2009 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Tom Eckstein officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown, ND.
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial in the spring: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota
