Adeline Johnson Obituary

Adeline Johnson, 67, of Jamestown, ND died Friday, September 17, 2004 at Meritcare Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Adeline Schielke was born October 13, 1936 in Lincoln Valley, ND the daughter of Daniel and Christina (Eckman) Schielke. She attended schools in McClusky, ND and Denhoff, ND. Adeline graduated from Jamestown High School in 1954. She married Duane O. Johnson on July 10, 1955 in Jamestown.

Adeline was employed at Bagan Real Estate in Jamestown from 1954 to 1958. She was employed at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown at part-time secretary from 1965 to 1969. In 1974 she returned to St. John's Lutheran Church and worked as administrative secretary until her retirement in 1998.

Adeline enjoyed reading, embroidering, doing cross-word puzzles, spending time with her grandchildren, and watching sports of any kind.

She is survived by her husband, Duane O. Johnson, Jamestown, ND; three sons, Timothy (Shana) Johnson, Fargo, ND, Thomas (Teresa Speidel) Johnson, Jamestown, ND, and Toron (Janet) Johnson, Jamestown, ND; 9 grandchildren; one brother, Harold (Marlene) Schielke, Jamestown, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Leonard; and one sister and brother-in-law, Viola and Hank Larson.

Funeral Service: 10:30AM, Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Doug Opp officiating.

Visitation: Monday, September 20, 2004 from 9:00AM to 9:00PM at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:00PM, Monday, September 20, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
