William Bauder

William "Bill" Adolph Bauder, 78, Edgeley, ND, died peacefully on Friday, February 8, 2008 at St. Rose Care Center at LaMoure, ND. Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Edgeley, ND, with a prayer service on Wednesday, February 13 at 7:00 p.m. at Lisko Funeral Chapel at Edgeley, ND.

Bill was born on April 4, 1929 in Monango, ND to Adolph and Blanche (Fox) Bauder. He grew up on a farm near Monango, ND and graduated from Ellendale High School. He went on to attend Normal Industrial College of Ellendale where he played football and ran track. He married June Polo on June 8, 1950; together they farmed and raised cattle in Willowbank Township.

Bill will be remembered as a hard working farmer and father who was always there for his children. Bowling, watching baseball, and reading a good mystery or western were his hobbies, as well as actively participating on the Willowbank Township Board, acting as the secretary of the bowling league and involvement in church earlier in life. Grandchildren brought great joy and pride to Grandpa Bill.

Bill is survived by his wife, June; one son Keith, Riverton, WY and two daughters: Barbara Malaski (Bill), Wishek, ND and Teri Preisler (David), LeCenter, MN; five grandchildren: Karissa Bauder, Bismarck, ND; Tia Kiefer (Josh), Fargo, ND; Ethan and Cody Preisler, LeCenter, MN; and Austin Malaski, Wishek, ND; one sister, Betty Feno (Jack) Edgeley, ND and many nieces and nephews.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents Adolph and Blanche Bauder, Uncles Jake, Emil and Henry Bauder.
