Wilhelm ""Bill"" Peda, 74, Woodworth, North Dakota went home to be with the Lord on December 23, 2005.

Bill was born on October 9, 1931 in Woodworth to Gustav and Wilhelmina (Ferl) Peda. He was the youngest of nine children. He attended school in Woodworth and Jamestown before moving to St. Paul, Minnesota to work. In 1952 he was drafted into the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was stationed in Korea and St. Paul, Minnesota as a Military Policeman.

On October 25, 1952, he married Violet Peda at Camp Breckenridge, KY. They were married 52 years until her death on May 8, 2005. Upon Honorary discharge, he worked at the 3M Company. In 1960 he purchased a farm in Woodworth where he worked until he retired. He was involved in his church as an Elder, Sunday School Superintendent and helped to build the church building with his labor.

Bill loved living on the farm and having coffee and visiting with his friends at the Woodworth Café.

Bill is survived by two sons, Kirk (Marilyn) Peda, Tempe, AZ and Kevin Peda, St. Paul, MN; two daughters, DelRose (Gary) Lappin, Pueblo, CO and Karen Peda and fiance', Stephen Storm, Concord, NC; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Peda and Rosa (Norman) Estrem, Inver Grove Heights, MN and Wanda Lynch, Hesperia, CA and one brother, Alfred Peda, Jamestow, ND.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and four siblings.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Monday, January 2, 2006 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Woodworth with Pastor Lyons and Pastor Roth officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, January 1, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.

Burial: New Home Cemetery, Woodworth, North Dakota.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
