Wade A. Williams, 54, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Tuesday night, May 12, 2015 at Eventide Jamestown.
Wade Allen Williams was born on December 4, 1960, in Jamestown, the son of Almon and Deloris (Headland) Williams. He grew up on the family farm and attended school in Jamestown where he was active in FFA serving as the President in 1978-1979 and ND Vice-President in 1980-1981. Wade graduated from Jamestown High School in 1979 and married Tina Mittleider on September 22 that year. They made their home on a farm southwest of Jamestown. He was awarded Star District Farmer in 1979, American Farmer in 1982, and Outstanding Young Men of America in 1983. He was a member of Cleveland Jaycees, serving as President in 1980-1981, and Jamestown Jaycees. Wade was elected North Dakota State Representative of District 29 in 1983 and served for ten years on the State and Federal Committee and Natural Resources Committee. Wade was elected to the Stutsman County Commission in 1992 and served until 2004. He served on the Social Service Board and the Stutsman County Housing Authority for many years. He was also a member of the Eagles Club, Jamestown.
Wade worked at the North Dakota Association of Counties and owned and operated J&L Service in Jamestown.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards with family and friends.
Wade is survived by his wife, Tina; daughter, Bri (Daniel); son, Cole; sister, Doris (Jerry) Schafer; brother, Chad (Barb); sisters-in-law, Diane and Maureen; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Earl, Mark, and Dale; nephew, Lance and great-nephew, Will.
Memorial Service:
Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 10:30am at United Presbyterian Church in Jamestown, ND. The family will receive guests an hour before the service at the church.
Interment
: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
