Viona Orr

Viona Orr, 85, Jamestown, ND died Monday, March 24, 2014 at Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown.

Viona Kreil was born September 16, 1928 in Gackle, ND, the daughter of Reinhold and Christina (Ruff) Kreil. She attended school in various country schools in the Gackle area. She later worked at the S & L in Jamestown. On March 22, 1949 Viona married Meredith "Bud" Orr. Together they had nine children.

Viona was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the America Legion Auxiliary.

Viona is survived by her children: Myra Junker, Jamestown, Connie (Lorence) Holmgren, Kulm, ND, Rodney (Deb) Orr, Jamestown, Kenneth Orr, Jamestown, Cindy (Bill) Dittus, Fredonia, ND, Warren Orr, Debora Bear (Warren) Williams, Len (Penny) Orr and Beckie (Todd) Schlenker, all of Jamestown; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one sister, Lorraine (Allan) Vanderberg, Jamestown.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sisters, Alvina Fietzek and Alice Vipperman; seven brothers, Alvin, Alden, Alroy, Reuben, Jack, Wilbert and Oscar; and a son-in-law, Rick Bear.
