Violet Tischer

Violet Tischer, 87, Jamestown died Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Heritage Center, Jamestown. Violet Zimmerman was born August 12, 1928 near Lehr, North Dakota, the daughter of Fred and Emma (Ketterling) Zimmerman. She attended and graduated from Ashley High School in 1946. She also attended Ellendale Community College.
Violet married Gerald Tischer, June 1, 1953 in Lehr, ND. In 1972, she moved to Ypsilanti, and in 1991 moved to Jamestown where her home has been since.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, word puzzles, and dominoes.
She is survived by special friends, Sue Beach, Lisa Wagner, Kathy Long, and Annie Strickland. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral service; 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Good Shepherd Chapel at Ave Maria Village with Pastor Randy Jaspers officiating.
Visitation; one hour before service.
Burial; Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND
Memorials may be gifted to Temple Baptist Church or Anne Carlson Center.
