Violet Mae Peda, 73, Woodworth, North Dakota, beloved wife to Wilhelm Peda, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2005.
Violet Mae David was born October 19, 1931 in Webster, Wisconsin to Everett and Edna (Hammar) David. She was the oldest of three sisters. As a young woman she was an aspiring ice skater. She graduated from Superior High School in Wisconsin, then moved to the twin cities where she worked.
On October 25, 1952 she married Wilhelm Peda at Camp Breckenridge, KY and they farmed in the Woodworth area. Violet was very active in the community, including 30 plus years as church organist, and numerous other civic and school activites.
She retired from Dean Witter in St. Paul, MN as a receptionist.
Violet loved living on the lake at their farm, as well as her cats, her flower garden, watching ice skating and traveling. One of her greatest wishes was to have everyone be happy!
Violet is survived by her husband, Wilhelm, Woodworth, ND, her mother, Edna David, Wisconsin, two sons, Kirk (Marilyn) Peda, Tempe, AZ and Kevin Peda, St. Paul, MN, two daughters, DelRose (Gary) Lappin, Pueblo, CO and Karen Peda and fiance' Steve Storm, Concord, NC, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two sisters, Marlene (James) Boyes, Forest Lake, MN and LuraLea (Paul) Sprosty, Little Canada, MN.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Friday, May 13, 2005 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Woodworth, North Dakota with Rev. Carlyle Roth officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 12, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial: New Home Cemetery, Woodworth, North Dakota.
