Vincent Dean Birch

Vincent Birch, 41, Buchanan, ND, died at his home in Buchanan on Saturday, December 09, 2006.
Vincent Dean Birch was born August 6, 1965 at Deadwood, SD, the son of Peter Birch and Kathleen (Marsolek) Pierce. He attended Courtenay Elementary School, Courtenay, ND and Wimbledon-Courtenay High School, graduating in 1983. Vincent attended North Dakota State School of Science and earned a degree in Business Management in 1989. He moved to Chesapeake, VA where he worked for the Holiday Inn and later in retail sales. Vincent moved to Norfolk, VA in 1990 where he was employed as a computer operator and then as a National Account Representative for Pitney Bowes Co at Virginia Beach, VA. He returned to Jamestown, ND in 1999 and in 2001 moved to Superior, WI area, where he worked as a part time bartender and also farmed and operated a horse boarding stable at Wentworth, WI. He returned to Buchanan, ND in 2005 to be closer to his family and friends.
Survivors include his parents, Kathleen (Gerald) Pierce, Carrington, ND and Peter (Shari) Birch, Superior, WI; 3 brothers, Cordell (Desiree), Litchville, MN, Brent, Hudson, WI and Durand (Teddi), Courtenay, ND; and friend, Jonathan Johnson, Buchanan, ND; his maternal grandmother, Agatha Marsolek, Wimbledon, ND and 9 nieces and nephews.
Vincent was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Buchanan, ND. He enjoyed helping people and volunteered for several service organizations. He loved working with animals and especially enjoyed working with his horses, cattle, and llamas; and also raised pygmy goats.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Pingree, ND.
Visitation: From noon until service time at the church on Wednesday.
Prayer Service: None scheduled
Interment: At a later date at St. Margaret Mary Cemetery, Buchanan, ND
