Vernon Eugene Wolff, 83, died October 6, 2012 at his home in Jamestown, ND.
Vern was born May 7, 1929 in Jamestown, to Jacob and Emma (Holzworth) Wolff.
He attended school in Jamestown before moving with his family to rural Ogema, MN where he attended Waubun, MN high school and eventually purchased the family farm. He continued farming until 1975. After taking an early retirement, he resided between MN, TX and finally returned to Jamestown to reside until his death.
He received a tremendous amount of enjoyment from reading, covering a large assortment of subjects. He also had a interest in flying and at one time took flying lessons.
He was mechanically minded and worked on his own machinery while farming.
He particular enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews when they were young.
Survivors include two brothers, Kenneth Wolff, Belcher Town, MA, Dewane (Christel) Wolff, Fairport, NY and three sisters, Phyllis (Robert) Tilton, Waubun, MN, Ellen (Thomas) Whiteley, Webster, NY and Marlys (Kenneth) Pearson, Detroit Lakes, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Pirl.
