Tyler Fontaine

Tyler Fontaine, 29, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025 in Jamestown, ND.

Tyler was born on February 10, 1996 to Tina Bischoff and Willard Fontaine.

This bouncing 10 lbs. baby boy was on the move from day 1. He loved to play with his cousins, but most of all hunting and fishing was his passion. Ty loved his animals. He and his mom always had dogs and cats on the farm, and cared for his horse on his dad’s farm. Ty enjoyed mud fights with his cousins, learning to ride bike without training wheels – only being able to turn right. Grandpa Bischoff’s pick took a few hits from Ty, but he’d always get back up and go again.

As Tyler grew, he faced many struggles in school and with demons. He didn’t say or do the right things, but he always loved his family, true friends, and was there when needed.

Tyler is survived by his mother, Tina Bischoff, Jamestown; father, Willard (Patricia) Fontaine, Ypsilanti, ND; grandmother, Vicky Harding, Ypsilanti; step-brother and step-sisters; step-nieces and step-nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and true friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Judy & Leroy Bischoff, Spiritwood; paternal grandparents, Willard & Evelyn Fontaine, Louisiana; uncle, Roger Harding, Washington; cousins, Jason and Veronica Vining, Jamestown.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Jessica Myers, Dylan Myers, Alicia Merkle, and Travis Merkle.

Family will receive guests from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2025 at Eddy Funeral Home.
