Susan Sorenson

Susan C. Sorenson, 98, Jamestown, ND died Friday, July 12, 2013 at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown.

Susan Cebula was born August 11, 1914 on a farm in Ashland Township, the daughter of Beryl and Lucy (Kulink) Cebula. Susan married Ernest "Bubs" Sorenson on March 20, 1937 and they lived and operated a farm near Buchanan, raising two children, Gordon and Karen. Upon retiring they moved to Jamestown.

Susan will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother and sweet friend to all that knew her.

Susan is survived by her son, Gordon (Bev) Sorenson, Missoula, MT and son-in-law, Dwayne Trautman, Erie, PA; four grandchildren, Teri (Dean) Schroeder, Missoula, MT, Joe (Bernie) Sorenson, Juneau, AK, Scott Trautman, Stoughton, WI and Jill (Tim) Mannino, Erie, PA; great-grandchildren, Chauncey Sorenson, Dani Jo (Shay) Walker, Ralph (Becky) Zaharko, Rachel and Jared Mannino, Ian, Quinn and Lilly Trautman; step- grandsons, Mike (Christine) Cash, Mark Cash; four step-great grandchildren, Alyx Cash, Ericia Tuckey, Drew Schroeder and Alaina Schroeder, four great-great grandchildren, Terry and Madison Zaharko and Kaiden and Gavin Walker; three sisters, Leona Thomas, Bismarck, ND, Marion Wilma, Bakersfield, CA and Margaret (Charlie) Kourajian, Jamestown; two sisters-in-law, Marguerite Cebula, Jamestown and Beryl Cebula, Ortonville, MN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Karen; five brothers, John, Alex, Sam, Ralph and Bob Cebula and three sisters, Celia Cebula, Helen Cebula and Rose Campbell.
