Sheldon Lee Leppert

Sheldon Lee Leppert of rural Edgeley ND was called home to his Savior on Wednesday April 15, 2026 at the age of 50 years old from pancreatic cancer.

Sheldon was born in Ellendale, ND on December 20, 1975 to Mildred and Dennis Leppert. He was baptized on February 8, 1976 at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Edgeley, ND, where he was also confirmed on April 29, 1990. He graduated from Edgeley Public School with the class of 1994. Sheldon married Molly Peterson on August 29, 1998 in Edgeley, ND. Together they moved onto the family farm and started milking cows with his dad. They raised three children and created what is now known as the Leppert Ranch. He was a steward of the land and a cattleman at heart. He was quick witted and a friend to many. Over the years he was a mentor to many nieces, nephews and kids that spent numerous days working beside him on the farm. There was always room for more around his table.

Sheldon is survived by his wife of 26 years, Molly and their children, Emma (Joel) Brejda of Aurora, SD, Gavin (Betsy) Leppert of Edgeley, ND and Elly Leppert of Edgeley, ND. His father Dennis Leppert and siblings Stanley Cox, Elizabeth Clemens, Andrew Leppert and Beverly Myer. Along with many loved nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mildred Leppert, nephew Robert Clemens and Uncle Gary Heidinger.

Funeral Service will be at 1:00p.m. Saturday, April 18th at Zion Lutheran Church in Ellendale ND, with visitation 2 hours prior to service.

Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Edgeley, ND after a brief reception following the service.
