Sheila I Harr

Sheila Irene (Hall) Harr, 69 years of age passed peacefully on Tuesday September 8, 2026 at home surrounded by her husband Kelvin and her daughters under the loving care of HIA Hospice.

Sheila Irene, daughter of Christine (Goodman) and Roy Hall Jr, was born in Jamestown, ND the youngest of four in the family.

She spent her early years growing up on the family farm near Woodworth, ND.

She graduated from Woodworth High School in 1975 via correspondence and walked that stage at graduation with her fourteen other classmates, one of which would become a life-long friend to her.

She married Kelvin Harr on September 27, 1974 in Woodworth, ND. They were blessed with five daughters: Angela Mary, Miranda Emma, Teresa Alice, Amy Miranda and Kimberly Christine.

In 1989, she and Kelvin moved to Courtenay, ND on their own hobby farm where they raised their girls, grew and harvested everything from apples to zucchini out of their own garden and had various livestock over the years to include chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys and rabbits. That same year Sheila obtained her certified nurse assistant certification at Hi Acres Manor in Jamestown, ND where she spent the next fifteen years of her life caring for others as if they were her own family members. Prior to that she had her own in-home daycare in Woodworth, ND and was part of a group called “light and lively” where her ladies group would meet and go for walks or play volleyball together.

Sheila was a very kind, compassionate and caring person. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary and she simply had a way of bringing light to every situation life handed her.

Beyond that she was a very resilient woman facing every struggle and challenge that life had in store for her.

She thoroughly enjoyed making things with her hands but by far her favorite was the art of crocheting which she shared with everyone she knew.

In later years, she enjoyed the abundance of the simple things in life. A bonfire with smore’s, a hummingbird at her feeders that dad would hang for her and of course her numerous solar lights she could view from the window at night but above all she enjoyed spending time with each and every one of her grandkids there were no favorites! She truly had a love for life that is hard to compare to.

She also had a love for animals, especially the baby chicks and ducks in the spring and a very special pet “Hailey” who she had for years that never left her side.

She is survived by her husband, Kelvin of Courtenay, ND; daughters, Angela (Brandon) Erskine Pine River, MN, Teresa (Donovon) Krueger, Sanborn, ND, Amy Harr, Wimbledon, ND, and Kimberly (Derrick) Lee, Wimbledon, ND. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Austin Rath, Hudson Awender, Alexis Rath, Korbin Awender, Pamela Fettig, Melonie Fountain, Alex Lee and Mikyla Harr and six great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Miranda Emma Harr; parents, Roy Jr. and Christine Hall, Leander and Evelyn Harr; nephews, Wade and Jeffrey Harr; sisters-in-law, Judith Hall and Marlys Harr; and brother-in-law, Dale Harr.

Prayer Service - 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13th at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Funeral Service – 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2026 at Woodworth Lutheran Church, Woodworth, ND.

Visitation – One hour before each service.

Burial – Gem Cemetery, Woodworth.
