Shawn Michael Fedorenko, lovingly known by many as “Shawn Bon Jovi”, passed away on May 30, 2025, in Jamestown, North Dakota, at the age of 54.
Born on June 21, 1970, in Rollette, North Dakota. Shawn graduated from Butte High School in 1988. A hard worker with skilled hands, Shawn worked as a handyman and held various factory jobs in Minot, Cando and Fargo area. It was during his time in Cando that he me Mary, and from their union came the greatest joy of his life – their daughter, Samantha.
Shawn will be remembered for his generous spirit and deep love for his family and friends. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. He cherished time spent reminiscing, telling stories, laughing, and joking around at family gatherings. His laughter and presence lit up the room.
As many who loved him know, Shawn faced many of his own struggles throughout his life. Despite his battles, he remained a kind and loving person, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his siblings: Tony, Clay, Craid, Shane, and Dana; his beloved daughter, Samantha, and his Father, Duane.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Priscilla, brother, Arnold; maternal grandparents, Alfred and Rachael Villeanauve; and paternal grandparents, Carl and Anna Fedorenko.
The family would like to thank all of their friends and family who helped get them through this grieving process and a big thank you to Al Sundeen for all his help, Tony, Clay, Shanke, and Dana Fedorenko.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at St. Michael Church in Dunseith, ND, with a burial service to follow.
