Richard G. “Butch” Marsolek, 63, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Friday evening, May 24, 2019 at Jamestown.
Richard was born July 31, 1955, in Kensal, ND, the son of John and Evelyn (Warren) Marsolek. He grew up in Jamestown and attended Jamestown High School. Butch worked construction at an early age, helping the crew which built the Ladish Malting plant in Spiritwood, ND. He married Pam Hoffmann and they had two children, Crystal and Jon. Richard worked for various farmers in the area, most recently for Gayne Gasal. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Crystal Otterson; son, Jon (Jess) Marsolek; grandchildren, Sheyenne Marsolek, Braidy Otterson, and Triyp Otterson; sisters, Mary Ann Purcell and Cookie Schumacher, both of Jamestown; and brother, Gary (Shirley) Marsolek, Mesa, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Brent Otterson; and brother-in-law, James Purcell.
Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2019 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
