Rebecca Woehl, 91, of Jamestown, ND, died Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, ND.
Rebecca Netzer was born January 1, 1917, in Gackle, ND, the daughter of Daniel and Barbara (Schlaht) Netzer. She grew up, attended school, worked on various farms in the Gackle area, and was raised in the Seventh Day Adventist faith. On July 15, 1948, Rebecca married Leon Woehl and they lived in Cleveland. In 1954, they moved to Jamestown. Her greatest joys were babies, birds, and quilting. Rebecca lived in the Gardenette, Jamestown, from 1983 until she entered Hi-Acres Manor in 2006.
Rebecca is survived by her two daughters, Melida (Don) Schwehr, Jamestown, ND and Lillian, Inver Grove heights, MN; two sons, Arnold, Jamestown and Jack, Broken Arrow, OK; three grandchildren, Natalie, Orono, MN, Joe, Fargo, and Deanna, Mankato, MN; and one sister, Caroline Cook, age 97, Tacoma, WA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon; daughter, Lenora; sisters, Rachel Wagner, Ruth Bailey, and Leah Roush; and one brother, Daniel, Jr.
A private family service will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND.
