Raymond C. Nohrenberg

June 16, 1928 — December 21, 2011

Raymond Carl Nohrenberg, 83, of Pingree, ND, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011, in Jamestown.

Ray was born June 16, 1928, the son of Ernest and Eleanor (Daugs) Nohrenberg at Pingree. He was raised in the Pingree area and graduated from Pingree School.

He served in the Army in the Korean War in the 224th Tank Company 40th Division, and has since enjoyed the many reunions of Army buddies in Texas. They had a special bond.

On September 21, 1956, Ray married Barbara Leoboldt at Jamestown. They lived in Jamestown first when he was employed at the airport. Then they moved to Pingree where their home has been since. They farmed in the Pingree area and he aerial crop sprayed for 30 years. His love for his Harley and flying were quite evident. They spent the last 16 winters in Texas, but he always thought it would be spring here in March.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, Pingree; two sons, Larry (Judy) and Redge (LeAnn), both of Jamestown; two daughters, Laura (Todd) Eckroth, Steele, ND and Carmen (Gene) Keller, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Monte, Jarrod, April, Marcus, Whitney, Kristen, Philip, Cale, Jacqueline, Chase, Morgan, Jordan, Cameron, Matthew, Joshua, Mark, Allison, Ryan, Kyle, and Eli; and one great granddaughter, Addelyn.

He was welcomed into heaven by his parents; two brothers, Orley and Donald; one sister, Sylvia Zink and grandson, Tarrin Nohrenberg.
