Raymond Jawaski

Raymond Jawaski, 87, Adrian, ND passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Raymond Jawaski was born February 4, 1932 in Braddock, ND to Alex and Olga (Koorney) Jawaski. Ray married Shirley Banish on October 16, 1957. and they had four children. Ray farmed and had grade A dairy with the help of his wife and family.

He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, Dickey, served on church boards, Royal Farm Milk Board, Adrian Township Board, County Commissioner, Adrian Elevator Board, Future Pheasant Club, trustee Assumption Catholic Church Dickey, Old time tractor pull association and and Knights of Columbus. Ray also enjoyed old time tractor pulls (he has many trophies), five time 1st place at North Dakota Winter Show with his trusty Oliver and enjoyed auction sales. He also enjoyed watching stock car races and would travel to watch his son's race. Grandson's baseball games were also a favorite.

Ray is survived by his wife Shirley; four children Pam (Clay) Haugen, Reid Jawaski, Royce (Lori) Jawaski, Randy Jawaski; three grandsons Josh (Mary) Haugen, Brady Jawaski and Cody Jawaski and two great-grandchildren; Elexis Haugen and Alexander Haugen., three sisters Martha Berube, Esther Ketterling and Mae Jawaski. One Brother Fred Jawaski. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Ann Bergerson, Agnes Wegner, Helen Meiklejohn, Marcella Jawaski and Magdalena Jawaski, brother-in-laws, Melvin Wegner, Harry Ketterling, Neil Bergerson, Robert Meiklejohn and Gerald Berube.

Visitation will be 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM with a Rosary at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, LaMoure, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, January 7 at the church. Interment will be in Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Dickey, ND.
