Ralph Reisnour, 84, Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, ND.
Ralph Reisnour was born November 17, 1923 in Robinson, ND, the son of Alex and Bette (Pahl) Reisnour. He moved with his family to Bowden, ND where he grew up and attended school. On January 6, 1941, he enlisted in the Civilian Conservation Corps, and on December 10, 1941 joined the United States Navy. He served in all war theatres and received the Bronze Star for service from March 12th to March 18th, 1943. He received a Battle Ship Discharge on December 10, 1945. After his military service, he attended Molar Barber College, graduating on June 13, 1946. On July 3, 1950, he married Mildred Wutzke at St. James Basilica, Jamestown, ND. In 1951, he and Mildred opened Reisnour Barber and Beauty Salon which they co-owned until 1991.
Ralph was a member of St. James Basilica, and an honorary member of the Knight of Columbus.
Ralph enjoyed his family, gardening, walking and visiting with friends.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred; 4 sons: James (Anne) Reisnour, Jamestown, ND; Dennis (Julie) Reisnour, Grand Forks, ND; Timothy (Mary) Reisnour, Austin, MN; Patrick (Nancy) Reisnour, Fergus Falls, MN; 8 grandchildren: Nathan (Allyson); Nicole; Lisa (Bill), Brent; Vanessa (Matt); Jacob; Alex; Adam; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Frances (Ed) Cox, Bend, OR; 1 brother, George (Darlene) Reisnour, Carrington, ND;
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and 4 brothers.
Funeral - 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2008 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown, ND
Visitation - Noon to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND
Interment - Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, ND
