Norman Flaig, 74, Jamestown, North Dakota died Monday, March 21, 2011 at Jamestown Hospital.
Norman was born April 22, 1936 in Alfred, ND, the son of John and Elsie (Holweg) Flaig. He attended a country school in Alexander township. Norman entered the US Army on January 21, 1954 and returned to Jamestown after his honorable discharge on November 30, 1958 and began work at the ND State Hospital. Norman moved to Minnesota and worked as a carpenter and on a little farm he owned. He returned to Jamestown in 2001 where he has resided until his passing.
Norman enjoyed hunting and playing music in his band.
Norman is survived by two daughters, Lana (Steve) Ward, New Hope, MN and Peggy Ann Flaig, Little Falls, MN; one son, Mike Flaig, Minnesota; two grandsons; two sisters, Jane (Wilfred) Henke and Delores (Gerald) Walsh, both of Jamestown; and one brother, Harry (Joanne) Flaig, Spark, NV.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Lloyd; and two sisters, Velma and Irene.
