Minnie Mittleider, 88, Tappen, North Dakota died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Napoleon Care Center, Napoleon, ND. Minnie Gilbertson was born October 13, 1926, north of Medina, ND to Andrew and Betsy (Olson) Gilbertson. She attended school at Crystal Springs through the 8th grade, graduating from Tappen High School. In October 1949, she married Rudolph Mittleider in Jamestown. She taught country schools in the Crystal Springs area. In 1951, they bought the farm south of Crystal Springs where they continued to live. Minnie worked on the farm, and was an avid outdoors woman. Minnie enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and her grandchildren. She had a strong faith and was a member of Faith Evangelical Church, Crystal Springs, ND. Minnie is survived by her husband, Rudolph, Tappen, ND; two sons, Ron (Candus) Mittleider, Tappen, ND, Rod Mittleider, Shakopee, MN; five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Gladys McGruder, Medina, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and six sisters.
Funeral service: 11:00 AM, Friday, March 27, 2015 at Faith Evangelical Church, Crystal Springs, with Pastor Don Hardesty, officiating.
Visitation: one hour before service at church.
Burial: Fisher Cemetery, Tappen, ND.
