Michael Baumgartner

Michael Baumgartner, 49, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Sunday evening, June 2, 2024 at his home in Jamestown.

Michael James Baumgartner was born July 22, 1974, in Jamestown, the son of Fred and Mary (Kaufman) Baumgartner.  He graduated from Jamestown High School and worked for various employers in the area, including Scherbenske & Son.  Mike enjoyed driving snowmobile and fishing.

Mike is survived by his mother, Mary (Mark) Schmidt; father, Fred Baumgartner; siblings, Barbara (Schultz) Noren, Duane Schultz, and Sandy Baumgartner; niece, Tyra Anderson; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl & Marie (Bishop) Baumgartner and Edgar & Tillie (Kauk) Kaufman; aunt, Karen Grabinger; nephew, Parker Hummel; aunts, Loretta, Donna, and Jane; and an uncle, Frank.

Memorial Service – 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 7, 2024 at Eddy Funeral Home, with Father Bob Hoekstra officiating.

Burial – Courtenay Cemetery, Courtenay, ND, next to his grandparents, Earl & Marie Baumgartner.
