Mary Mulfinger

Mary Mulfinger, 94, Jamestown, ND passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 at SMP Health – Ave Maria, Jamestown, ND.

Mary Cegla was born April 1, 1931 to John and Catherine (Zimney) Cegla in Windsor, ND. Mary went to school in Moon Lake Township until the 8th grade and graduated from high school in Royalton, MN. She married David Mulfinger on September 30, 1950 in Royalton, MN. They farmed in Stirton Township from 1950-1976.

Mary was employed as a bookkeeper at Leevers Supervalu and County Market grocery stores from 1976-1995. She’d drive in from Cleveland each day to work. Mary also volunteered at Jamestown Hospital and St. James Basilica. She enjoyed reading and playing pinochle.

Mary is survived by many nieces and nephews and some special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband David, an infant son Michael, sister Gertrude Hafner and brothers Vincent, Andrew, Leo, John, Matt and Donald.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM with a rosary being said at 6:30 PM followed by a vigil service at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 24 at Eddy Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 25 at St. James Basilica with Very Reverend Chad Wilhelm presiding. Interment will be in Highland Home Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. James Academy or Jamestown Hospice.
