Mary Ann Borgen

November 18, 1934 — March 14, 2009

Surrounded by the love of her children, Mary Ann Borgen died peacefully Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Bethany Homes Memory Care Unit in Fargo, ND, where she had been a resident since September, 2007.

Mary was born November 18, 1934 in Park River, ND to Philip and Mary (Machovsky) Capouch. She lived on the family farm and graduated from Park River High School. She met and married Phillip Nordine and together they had three children, Kathy, Rory, and Kristy. In 1970, she married Donald Borgen and together they had a daughter, Kimberly.

Mary enjoyed keeping busy, spending time with family and friends, reading, playing cards, and doing crafts. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, an avid shopper, and a devoted grandmother.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Kathy Williams, Jamestown, ND; Kristy (David) Maley, Verona, ND; Kimberly (Gerald) Reynolds, Naples, FL; a son, Rory (Barbara) Nordine, Detroit Lakes, MN; a sister, Harriet (Joe) Barnes, Lebanon, TN; a brother, Ernest Capouch, Naperville, IL; eight grandchildren, Josh and Cami Williams; Aaron, Katie, and Andrew Maley; Matthew and Levi Nordine; and Travis Reynolds.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; granddaughter, Jenna Williams; sister, Beatrice Carnahan; brothers, Bernie, Robert, Herman, Albert, and Raymond Capouch; and loving soul mate, Bill Johnson.

Funeral Service: 2:00PM, Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Eddy Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Kirsten Frantsvog officiating.

Visitation: Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND, in the spring.

The family expresses their sincere thanks to the staff of Bethany Memory Care Unit and Hospice of the Red River Valley for their loving kindness and care that they provided during this difficult time. Mary will be deeply missed.
