Marlene Tuma

Marlene Linstaedt Tuma, 78, Jamestown, ND passed away peacefully in the early hours of Saturday, February 28, 2026 at SMP Health-Ave Maria, Jamestown, ND

Marlene was born January 20, 1948 to parents Walter and Lorraine (Anderson) Linstaedt in Jamestown, ND. She grew up on a farm near Montpelier, ND. She attended schools in Montpelier, Jamestown and Grand Forks. Marlene loved living on the farm. She especially loved horses and cattle.

As an adult, she lived in various places in Jamestown and was associated with Alpha Opportunities for many years. Marlene had been a resident of SMP Health-Ave Maria since August 6, 2014. She enjoyed doing crafts, bingo and musical programs. Marlene had a large collection of horses and trolls.

Marlene is survived by one aunt and many cousins. Marlene was an only child. She is preceded in death by her parents.

The family wishes to thank the staff at SMP Health-Ave Maria for the special care they gave Marlene for her final 11 years of life.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 24, 2026 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND with Chaplain Lynn Hopewell officiating. Interment will be in Highland Home Cemetery.
