Mark Steven Wagner

Mark Steven Wagner, 52, of San Mateo, CA, formerly Jamestown, ND, died Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at San Mateo, CA of an apparent heart attack.

Mark Steven Wagner was born February 16, 1959, at Trinity Hospital, Jamestown, ND, the son of Jay W. and Beverly J. (Klose) Wagner. He was baptized and confirmed in St. James Catholic Church. Mark attended St. John's Academy grades 1 thru 6 and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1977 where he played football and was head of the student council. In the fall of 1977, Mark enlisted in the United States Army where he was trained as a pharmacist and later as a Nuclear Medicine Technician. He spent 9 years in the Army and was honorably discharged in February 1987 in San Francisco, CA. He married Lori Miller on December 28, 1993 in San Mateo, CA.

Mark enjoyed football, baseball, and especially spending quality time with his daughter, Maddie. He will be sorely missed by his whole family.

Mark is survived by his ex-wife, Lori, a daughter, Maddison Rose, and a step-son, Jason Miller, all of San Mateo, CA; father, Jacob "Jay" Wagner, Jamestown and brother, Jack Wagner, both of Jamestown; brother, Larry (Tina) Wagner, Valley City, ND; sister, Julie A. (Alan) Meyer, Gackle, ND; and five nephews, Bob Wagner, Nick Wagner, Chris Meyer, Zachary Meyer, and Max Meyer. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, Mary Steele and Thea Wagner, Jamestown, Rita Moser, Medina, ND, Beth (Roy J.) Case, Vacaville, CA, Loraine Zimney, Jamestown, Elmer (Eldora) Klose, Jamestown, Bill (Laurel) Klose, Eckelson, ND, Linda (Harry) Ebele, Gackle, ND, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly; brother, Robert Joseph Wagner; and grandparents.

Memorial Mass: 10:30A.M., Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.

Visitation: None scheduled. Arrangements by Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, with military rites.
