Marian Roemmich

Marian W. Roemmich, 91, of Spiritwood, ND, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 19, 2025 at Sanford Health, Bismarck, ND.

Marian was born August 29, 1933, in Jamestown, ND, the daughter of Louis F. and Mabel (Norris) Degen. She attended Jamestown schools, graduating in 1951. Marian was united in marriage to Elmer Roemmich on November 2, 1952 at Jamestown. She worked for the City of Jamestown Auditor’s office, National Farmers’ Organization, and Klug & Smith Construction Co., as well as raising three children.

Marian was a member of the Four Leaf Homemakers club, First United Methodist Church and Wesley Circle, and was assessor for Rose Township for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Lorinda (Bob) Steele, Gillette, WY; son, Steven (Susan) Roemmich, Spiritwood; and Scott (Carrie) Roemmich, Jamestown; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; parents; brothers, James and William; and sisters, Margaret and Kathleen.

Funeral Service – 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025 at First United Methodist Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Marty Toepke-Floyd officiating.

Visitation – 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2025 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial – Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.
