Lyle M. Cumber

Lyle Merle Cumber, 67, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Monday, September 6, 2010 at Jamestown Hospital.

Lyle was born June 27, 1943 in Jamestown, the son of George and Gladys (Lester) Cumber. He attended Jamestown High School and later received his GED. On June 25, 1966, Lyle married Ruth Lange in Jamestown. Lyle worked at Jim's Janitorial Service, White Drug, Community Warehouse, Baker Boy Bake Shop and Buffalo Lanes, Inc., all of Jamestown.

He enjoyed playing baseball, bowling, golfing and hunting in his early years.

Lyle is survived by two brothers, Jack Cumber and Kenneth (Janna) Cumber, both of Jamestown; two sisters, Janice (Ralph) Beckett, Casper, WY and Debra (Dave) Nannenga, Otis Orchards, WA; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Deb Franz, Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; parents; brother, George, Jr. who died in youth; and sister-in-law, Marlene Cumber.
