Loren Hillstrom

Loren L. Hillstrom, 57, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Saturday morning, May 17, 2025, peacefully at his home due to a long history of medical issues.

Loren Lee Hillstrom was born May 22, 1967, in Jamestown, the son of Carl E. and Carol J. (Baker) Hillstrom. He graduated from Jamestown High School and VCSU with an Associate in Arts degree. Loren worked at several Jamestown businesses including Don’s House of Flowers, Jiggers, Pizza Hut, Jamestown Sun, Tri-J Bottle Shop, Exxon, Lloyds Motors and Arco. He lived his faith with a positive, generous attitude, serving everyone with humility and Christian love. He enjoyed joking around and putting smiles on everyone's face. He liked collecting Hot Wheels and putting together models, Legos and remote controlled cars. Loren loved his dogs, Buddy and Dexter, and taking them for walks.

He was a life-long member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Jamestown where he was baptized, attended Christian Day School and was confirmed. He served for over 30 years on the church council.

Loren is survived by his mother, Carol Hillstrom; brothers, Clayton (Denise) Hillstrom and Hugh (Tiffany) Hillstrom; and sisters, Beth (Randy) Sorenson and DeAnn (Troy) Dallmann; many nieces and nephews and special friend, Pamela Jo McMahon.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Hillstrom; brother, Eric Hillstrom; grandparents; aunts and uncles.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 23, 2025 at First Assembly of God, Jamestown, with Rev. James Naumann officiating.

Prayer Service – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
