Linda Mccleery

Linda Lou McCleery, 61, Pingree, ND died on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Innovis Hospital, Fargo, ND after sustaining fatal injuries in a traffic accident at Pingree, ND on Friday, February 20, 2009.

Linda Schinke was born October 2, 1947 at Appleton, WI, the daughter of Bud and Shirley (Hoffmann) Schinke. She attended St. Paul's Wisconsin Synod Lutheran School in Appleton through the 8th grade year and graduated from Appleton High School West. After her graduation, Linda joined the U. S. Marine Corps and was sent to Parris Island, NC to complete boot camp and her technical training as a supply clerk. She was then sent to the Marine Corps Base at Camp Pendleton, CA where she met her future husband. Linda and Geary McCleery were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony at Camp Pendleton on June 3, 1967.

Linda was employed by the California Division of Forestry, after completing a trade secretarial school, until 1973 when she and her family moved to North Dakota where they took over the family farm from Geary's Dad. Linda began her career at the North Dakota State Hospital in 1981 where she continued to work as an administrative secretary until her death.

Linda had a desire to be an organ donor and that wish was honored at Innovis Hospital. Her desire to donate organs is a continuation of her life, as she was a provider and servant to others. Her life will be extended through the lives of those who receive her organs.

Linda is survived by and will always be loved by her husband Geary; 2 daughters: Teresa (Carl) Ranger, Spring Creek, NV; Nikki Johnson, Stillwater, OK; a son, Geary David McCleery, Newkirk, OK; 5 grandchildren: Paul, Devon, Bryce, Britni, and Micky; her parents, Bud and Shirley Schinke, Jamestown, ND; 2 sisters: Tamara (Herb) Buerkley, Kulm, ND; Susan Schinke, Oshkosh, WI; a brother Bruce (Toni) Schinke, Menasha, WI; many nephews and nieces; her dog, Buffy; and all those whose lives she has touched.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law David and Hazeldean McCleery.

Funeral - 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown, ND

Prayer Service - 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2009 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown, ND

Visitation - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2009 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday

Interment - Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, ND
