Ole LeRoy Nypen, 96, of Fargo passed away on November 30. His wife Ruby was at his bedside. LeRoy and Ruby were married 73 years. He was born April 12, 1924 in Litchville Township to Ole and Gunhild.
LeRoy had a love of God, farming, fishing, camping, traveling, card playing, square dancing, and enjoying many friends. Most of all LeRoy loved his family.
After retiring from farming LeRoy and Ruby wintered in Arizona for 31 years. They moved to Edgewood Vista in Fargo after 62 years on the family dairy farm at Berlin.
The biggest joys in LeRoy’s life was playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was even willing to get his hair done and nails polished. They also enjoyed trying to catch Grandpa (Papa Ole to some) of cheating in games which he delighted in doing!
He was a quiet gentle man who leaves a beautiful legacy through his family. He will be greatly missed by many.
LeRoy is survived by his wife, Ruby and children Jerry (Sandy), Jane (Loren), Jim (Tess), and Corey (Melinda), Grandchildren Alyssa (Tom), Kim (John), Jason (Jenny), Carina, Jared (Andrea), Brent (Shelley), Jeremy, Christopher (Jessica), Tyler, and Tanner and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Elsie Olson and Hjurdis Baeth.
LeRoy was preceded in death by parents Ole and Gunhild, daughter Garilyn, grandson-in-law Mark and brother Allen.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Spring 2021, date is still being determined.
Arrangements are in the care of Williams Funeral Home, Edgeley.
