Leon D. Skjeret

Leon DuWayne Skjeret, 48, Jamestown, ND died Wednesday, September 11, 2013.

Leon was born December 24, 1964 in Cooperstown, ND, the son of Leon L. and Jeanette (Knutson) Skjeret. Leon graduated from Jamestown High School in 1983. He served in the Army National Guard from 1983-1989. He worked at Goodrich and TRW for several years and most recently at Jamestown Truck Plaza. Leon married Sarah Seitz on October 5, 1985.

He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed racing and horseback riding. His laugh was contagious and his smile was inviting.

Leon is survived by his daughter, Tara Skjeret, son, Blake (Destiny) Skjeret; granddaughter, Tatum; mother, Jeanette Skjeret; and two sisters, JoAnn (Les) Nesvig and Jeanine (Joe) Schmidt.

He was preceded in death by his father.
