Leo B. Bollinger

Leo B. Bollinger, 83, Jamestown, North Dakota died Monday, April 18, 2005 at Jamestown Hospital.

Leo was born November 8, 1921 in Linton, North Dakota the son of Konrad and Rosina (Wohl) Bollinger. Leo joined the US Army in July 1943 at Fort Lewis, WA and was discharged in October 1945. He received the Bronze Star Medal, the Liberation Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal during his enlistment. Leo married Johanna Trautman on July 3, 1948 in Jamestown. She died August 19, 2002.

Leo spent most of his life in Jamestown and was a carpenter all his life, building many homes in the Jamestown community and surrounding area. He enjoyed working with wood and going on fishing trips. He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Jamestown, the American Legion, Eagles, Elks and the V.F.W.

Leo is survived by two sisters, Esther Flegel, Great Falls, MT and Violet Edmondson, Yakima, WA, two sisters-in-law, Martha Trautman, Jamestown and Arlene Trautman, Minnesota and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, eight sisters, Alma, Emma, Clara, Martha, Edna, Bertha, Alice and Pauline and eight brothers, Theodore, Edward, Ted, William, Sam, Teddy , Milbert and Emmanual.

Funeral Service: 1:30 PM, Friday, April 22, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bryce Tahran officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, April 21, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
