Lenus L Berge

Lenus L. Berge, 57, of Ypsilanti, ND, died on January 16, 2014 at his home.
Lenus Lee Berge was born on December 7, 1956 in Jamestown, ND, the son of Earl and Agnes (Janz) Berge. He was baptized and confirmed in the Ypsilanti Lutheran Church. Lenus was active in high school sports at Montpelier High School, graduating in 1975. He had a passion for sports and played softball for the local team. Lenus married Linda "Toopie" Nihill on November 29, 1986 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown. They lived and farmed in the Ypsilanti area, growing small grains. Linda died on December 1, 2001. After retiring from farming, Lenus was employed by Sky Farmer, a job he loved.
Lenus enjoyed watching television, especially NASCAR and college sports. He was a special uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Lenus is survived by his sisters, Delores "Pat" (Gary) McDaniel, Bismarck, ND, Karen (Kenneth) Baeth, Marion, ND, Linda (Russell) Senne, Bismarck, ND, Cheryl (Norman) Lien, Bismarck, ND, and Kathie Arneson, Fargo, ND; numerous nieces and nephews and their children; and the Montpelier and Ypsilanti communities.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother-in-law, Bryce "Corky" Arneson.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Rev. Kristina Weber officiating.
Family will receive guests an hour before the service at the church.
