Lenora S. Gartner, 89, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Friday, November 21, 2008 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home in Jamestown.
Lenora Herrmann was born November 11, 1919 in Leader, Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Carl and Eva (Klien) Herrmann. She attended school in Leader. On October 27, 1938 Lenora married Edwin Gartner in Upham, ND. They moved to Jamestown in the late 1970's where they have made their home ever since. Edwin died November 14, 2004.
Lenora was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, where she belonged to the Ladies Aid and was a St. John's Quilter.
Lenora is survived by four sons, Chet (Carol) Gartner, Jamestown, Dennis (Linda) Gartner, Myrtle Beach, SC, Gary (Elsie) Gartner, Sacramento, CA and Warren (CeCe) Gartner, Gilbert, AZ; one daughter, Dorothy Focht, Mansfield, OH; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Frieda, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; one brother, William Herrmann, Leader, Saskatchewan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son; three sisters; and one brother.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Wednesday, November 26,2008 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota
