Lavonne Larson

LaVonne Kay Larson, 47, Cypress, Texas, formerly of Jamestown, North Dakota, died Friday, September 10, 2010 at her home in Texas.

LaVonne was born November 5, 1962 in Jamestown, the daughter of Purl and Wilma (Christianson) Larson. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown. LaVonne graduated from Jamestown High School in 1981. She attended college at Bottineau and Minot. She worked at various places in Jamestown and Bismarck. LaVonne was on a traveling crew for pipeline surveying in several states, before moving to the Houston, Texas area, where she resided the past 10 years.

LaVonne was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown. She enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting and fishing. She was very proud of her Norwegian heritage.

LaVonne is survived by her mother, Wilma, Jamestown; one sister, Trish (Rod) McGruder, Olathe, KS; two nephews, Matt and Ryan McGruder, Olathe, KS; one uncle, Jim Hendrickson, Hillman, MN; several cousins; many friends; and her dog, Astro.

She was preceded in death by her father, Purl in 1971; grandparents; aunts and uncles and two cousins.
