Laura A. Talley

Laura A. Talley, 94, Minneapolis, MN, formerly of Jamestown, ND passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Walker Methodist Health Center in Minneapolis.

Laura Huebner was born on April 14, 1919 in Severn Township, Stutsman County, ND to John W. and Mable (Derby) Huebner. She was the second of their five children and grew up on a farm in Sydney Township. Laura graduated from Jamestown High School in 1938 and taught at one room schools in Corwin Township and Sydney for several years before her marriage. On July 9, 1945, she married Donald Joseph Talley and they farmed together in Sydney for nearly 40 years. After their retirement, they moved to Jamestown. For the last several years, Laura has resided at an assisted living facility and a nursing home in Minneapolis near her son's family.

Laura is survived by her son, James Donald Talley and his wife, Donna Barbour-Talley of Minneapolis; granddaughter, Marcia T. Gerring and her husband, Gabriel Gerring, Evanston, IL; grandson, Edward J. Talley, Minneapolis; great-granddaughter, Natalie Laura Gerring; and three sisters and a sister-in-law, Ethel Yetterboe, Jamestown, Evelyn Taylor, Portland, OR, Gladys Hanson, Nampa, ID and Helen Huebner, Valley City, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and brother, Gordon Huebner.
