Laura B. Dunwoody Hall passed away November 13th, 2019 at Eventide Care Center in Jamestown, North Dakota. She was born in Carrington, North Dakota on April 1st, 1928 to Alden and Annie Y. (Thomson) Bennett. Laura attended elementary school in Vashti, North Dakota and graduated from Carrington High School in 1946. Employed at the Famers Union State Office from 1946 to 1948. Married Howard E. Dunwoody October of 1948 at Edmunds, North Dakota. Employed by JCPenney’s in Jamestown and the Foster County Court House in Carrington. She married Roy L. Hall January of 1987 at the McCoy residence in Jamestown.
Laura is survived by two sons, Glenn (Robin) Dunwoody (Jamestown, ND) and Wayne (Janelle) Dunwoody (Edmunds, ND). Two daughters, Vicki McCall (Clinton, MS) and Cindy Berg (Rock Lake, ND). Seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Alden and Annie Bennett, two brothers, Bill Bennett and Donald Bennett, two sisters, Annie Jean Kollman and Clarella “Tink” Dalby, and son, Lyle Dunwoody, and daughter-in-law Kay, two son-in-laws, John McCall and Don Berg. She was further survived by two stepsons, Ken and Roy Hall, two stepdaughters, Gloria Harr and Sheila Harr.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Eddy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Home Cemetery at a later date.
The family will be holding a memorial and burial service at a later date. Laura’s body was donated to the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences (UND SMHS) Deeded Body Program. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to McCoy Ministries or Youth for Christ.
