Kathy Anne Kvislen, age 70, passed away at Eventide, early Monday morning, March 9th, 2026. She is now home with her loved ones in heaven, embraced in the arms of her daughter, Angela Reidburn.

Kathy was born, February 27th, 1956, in Jamestown, to parents, Donald and Irma Kvislen, where she lived most of her life growing up with her three brothers; Donnie, Kent and Kyle. She married Steven Reidburn in 1978, having two daughters, Amy and Angela Reidburn, who were the light of her life.

Kathy worked at the Anne Carlsen Center for a dedicated 30 years, within the dietary department, where she loved the kids and her co-workers through all those years. Kathy also had a love for cosmetology, keeping her license valid throughout the years and working as a stylist at Regis in Jamestown. Kathy was an avid member of the Jamestown Humane Society, where she served on the board, provided a loving space for many animals in her home and had a great love for dogs, especially her best friend, Casey.

Although she faced many battles with her health, Kathy loved her family and her grandchildren, Westin, Peighton and Beckett. She always had a passion for music, doing hair, decorating and fashion. No matter what she was going through, she always wanted to look her best.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; Donald and Irma Kvislen, her brother, Donald Kvislen Jr. and her daughter, Angela Reidburn.

Kathy is survived by her daughter, Amy (Kevin) Walker; brothers, Kent (Janet) Kvislen, and Kyle Kvislen; her grandchildren, Westin Walker, Peighton Walker and Beckett (James) Ludwig; in addition to many cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved spending time with.

Memorial arrangements are still pending.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Kathy may be made to, Dementia Society of America or the James River Humane Society.
