June E. Ernie

June E. Ernie, 86, Jamestown, ND formerly of Leal, ND passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Ave Maria Village Nursing Home, Jamestown, ND surrounded by her family and friends.

June E. Limesand was born June 13, 1932 in Jamestown, ND to Martin and Anna (Miller) Limesand, one of 10 siblings. She attended school at Buchanan, ND graduating from 8th grade.

June and Elmer Ernie were married February 11, 1951 at Buchanan, ND. They made their home at Leal, ND and June helped Elmer farm for 30 years. They raised their three children there. In 2003 they moved to Jamestown. She entered the Ave Maria Village Nursing Home in 2016. June was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and enjoyed being a part of the Ladies Aide. She also enjoyed being a member of her birthday club.

June’s hobbies included playing cards, sending greeting cards, word search, cooking and baking. She loved to have coffee guests.

June is survived by her three children; Janelle (Stroud), Rogers, ND, Ardella, Breckenridge, MN, Odean (Cathy), Colorado Springs, CO; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sisters; Violet Weber, Washington and Bea (Dick) Brown, Millarton, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

June was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband, six brothers, one sister, son-in-law, and grandson Eric Hollinshead.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Tom Eckstein officiating.

Visitation: 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, December 17 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.

Burial: Prairie View Cemetery, Wimbledon, ND.
