Jolleen Brown

Jolleen Ann Brown, 62, Sanborn, ND passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, comfortably in her home surrounded by her family and pets under the care of HIA Hospice, honoring her wishes.

Jolleen Ann Kramer was born to Kenneth and Irene Kramer on December 18, 1963 in Jamestown, ND. She was one of eleven kids growing up on a farm near Kensal, ND. She attended K-12 at ND School for the Deaf in Devils Lake, ND. Jolleen went on to attend college at Rochester Institute of Technology in Henrietta, NY and received her associates degree in accounting.

She met the love of her life Curt Brown on Christmas Day of 1987 and they later married on September 2nd, 1989. Together they had four daughters and completed their family by welcoming their son.

Jolleen was a lady of many talents whether it was drawing, painting, sewing, or baking, she loved it all. She loved caring for others and that showed through her years of cooking while owning Another Time Coffee Shop, and later Another Time Guest Cottage. After closing the restaurant in 2010 and moving to a farm in rural Sanborn, ND. She continued her work in the kitchen at the Sheyenne Care Center, Hannaford Mercantile Restaurant, and most recently did housekeeping at the Dakota Regional Medical Center in Cooperstown, ND.

Jolleen’s real pride and joy were her beloved grandchildren. She enjoyed watching all of their activities and sporting events, providing “grandma daycare,” loved to make them her special holiday treats and was always up for crafts or games with them. She was the most kind-hearted, patient, and gentle person with the biggest heart.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Irene, infant brother Kenneth, Jr., and brother Kurt Kramer.

Jolleen is survived and greatly missed by her husband Curt, Daughters Amanda (Sonny), Aubrey (Chris), Shelby (Jacob), Bailey (Wade), and son Tucker. Beloved grandchildren, Bristol, Chloe, Trey, Laken, Cash, Teddi, Jeter, Dawson, Rory and grand baby #10. Sisters, brother, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
