John Remillong, 67, Jamestown, ND, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.
John was born October 31, 1946 in Dickinson, ND, the son of John and Zelma (Lerdall) Remillong. He received his education in Jamestown, graduating from Jamestown High School. He continued his education in Montana learning road construction which led to a career building and repairing roads across many states working for Everett?s Construction and Border States Paving, Inc. During his career, he became well known for his skills operating road graders and many from Jamestown can remember when he plowed streets after snow storms during the winter months.
Throughout his life he enjoyed the outdoors. In his younger years he was an avid hunter and loved fishing from an early age, spending time on a lake was always his favorite. He was an avid racing fan and loved following his favorite NASCAR drivers. He also enjoyed billiards and spent many years playing in the various leagues in Jamestown.
John is survived by two sons, David Remillong (Cheryl Gartner) and Paul Remillong, both of Jamestown, three grandchildren, Cole, Ian and Paige, one sister, Renee (Doug) Beaudoin, Tampa, FL, and one brother, Mike Remillong, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
