John J Devary

John J. DeVary, 58, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Friday afternoon, May 28, 2021 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

John Jesse DeVary was born December 22, 1962, in Minnesota, the son of Paul and Joanne (Loomer) DeVary.  He grew up in Battle Lake, MN and graduated from Sheldon High School.  John attended Valley City State University, where he met Deb in 1981.  They were united in marriage in 2014 in Jamestown where he was a Safety Officer at the North Dakota State Hospital for 25 years.  John enjoyed fishing and listening to rock n’ roll music.

John is survived by his wife, Deb DeVary, Jamestown; son, Andrew DeVary, Minneapolis, MN; and two daughters, Trista DeVary and Kayla DeVary, both of Jamestown; nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, Melanie DeVary; and other beloved family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim DeVary; and sister, Sandy Sandahl.
