JoEllen Pahl, 71, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Sunday morning, December 1, 2019 at Eventide, Jamestown, surrounded by her family.

JoEllen “Jody” Jean Dent was born July 19, 1948, in Jamestown, the daughter of Wilbur and Aletha Maxine (Flaherty) Dent. She grew up and attended elementary and high school in Jamestown. JoEllen received an associate degree in business from Valley City State University. She was married to Kenneth M. Wells from June 1966 to October 1975. To this union three children were born: Neil E, Penny J, and Amanda R. During this marriage they lived in Jamestown and Orlando, FL while JoEllen worked in group homes and Alpha Opportunities. On September 9, 1979 she married John A. Snell. To this union Gretchen M. was born. They divorced in 1982. JoEllen and Gordon H. Pahl were married from January 1983 to April 1989. In April 2007, JoEllen moved to Morris, MN where she worked for Westwind Village and to be closer to her children and young grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family, scrapbooking, sewing, crafting, fishing, listening to country gospel music, and her cats. JoEllen was a member of the Salvation Army.

JoEllen is survived by her children, Neil Wells (Connie), Mesa, AZ, Penny (Karl) Stadick Mesa, AZ and Amanda (Mathew) Warrenburg Cedar Rapids IA; Someone dear to her heart: Gordon “Ace” Pahl: 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, June Shriver, Jewel Lundgren, Joni Kapp, Jayda Provorse, Jayson Dent, and Maureen Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Gretchen Snell; great-grandson, Kadon Wynne; and sister, Janice Malard and Madonna.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.

Visitation: One hour before the service at Eddy Funeral Home.

Interment: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.

Arrangements are in the care of Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
