Joanne Pederson

Joanne G. Pederson, 71, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at her home under the care of hospice.

Joanne G. Erb was born April 17, 1938 in Ryder, North Dakota, the daughter of Wayne L. and Lenora (Peterson) Erb. She grew up in the Ryder area and attended Minot High School. On April 1, 1955 Joanne married Morton Pederson in Minot. They moved to Jamestown where they lived and raised their family. She worked at Leevers Super Valu and later County Market, from where she retired.

Joanne's favorite things to do were reading, playing cards, and attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events. Her family was her main priority in life.

Joanne is survived by her husband, Morton, Jamestown; two daughters, JoDene Petersen, Jamestown and Cari Curry, Washington, D.C.; three sons, Mark (Wendy) Pederson, Wes Laco, TX, Miles (Sandra) Pederson, Wes Laco, TX and Matthew (Becky) Pederson, Fargo, ND; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty (Willard) Scott, St. Cloud, MN and Jean (Lawrence) Schoenwald, Sawyer, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Judith, and one brother, Wayne.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Jamestown Hospital Hospice.
