Joan A. Knoblich

Joan A. Knoblich, 70, of Jamestown, ND, died Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown.

Joan Arlene Knoblich was born January 8, 1941, at Trinity Hospital, Jamestown, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Lulai) Readel. She grew up in Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1958. Joan married Larry Knoblich on December 27, 1958 at St. James Catholic Church, Jamestown. They made their home in Jamestown where she worked as a telephone operator and at the ASC office. Joan was employed at Western Gear, now Goodrich, for thirty years and was a member of the Western Gear Employees' Association.

Joan enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with her husband, watching old movies and television, and spending time with her family.

Joan is survived by her husband, Larry, Jamestown; one daughter, JoLar (Sam) Knoblich-Johnson, Fargo, ND; one son, Corey (Laetica) Knoblich, Kirkland, WA; one grandchild, Nathan, Kirkland, WA; and two sisters, Jackie (Dean) Anderson, Jamestown, and Judy (Gene) Augspurger, Dallas, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James.
