Jerry M. Richter

Jerry Richter, 67, of Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Sanford Health, Fargo.
Jerome M. Richter was born on March 22, 1947, in New Rockford, ND, the son of Joseph and Margaret (Lesmeister) Richter. He graduated from New Rockford High School and attended Dakota Business College in Fargo. He married Karen Harshman on October 16, 1976 at St. James Catholic Church, Jamestown and made their home there. Jerry worked for Western Gear, then for Ladish Malting in Spiritwood. He established his own business, Jamestown Marble and also worked for Browning Honey. Jerry enjoyed playing pinochle.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Richter, Jamestown; mother-in-law, Marjorie Harshman, Jamestown; sisters, Judy (Clayton) Johnson, Seattle, WA and Barbara (Norman) Henry, Great Falls, MT; nieces and nephews; and special grandchildren, Blake & Eric Peterson and Jasper & Caleb Carlson.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Frances; and brother, Duane.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Victory Lutheran Brethren Church, Jamestown, with Rev. Shawn Bowman officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 p.m., to 5:00 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2014 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.
Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2014 at Victory Lutheran Brethren Church, Jamestown.
Interment: Fairview Cemetery, Sanborn, ND.
